Emily grew up in Bloomfield, CT, but has called Utah home for the last five years. She started dancing at a young age and eventually found her way to competitive ballroom, which took her all the way to the BYU Ballroom Touring Company. After graduating from the Marriott School of Business, she competed professionally with her husband, Charlie, in Stamford, CT.
These days, Emily gets to share her love of dance by teaching ballroom at the high school level, working with both classes and competitive teams (the best in UT, obviously). When she’s not teaching, you’ll probably find her keeping up with her three sons, hiking, or planning her next vacation.
In 2021, Emily discovered Torrent Cycle. She hopped on a bike and, much like dancing, she was hooked. She fell in love with the music, the movement, the energy, and especially the community. Her classes are full of pop music, body rolls, lots of dancing, and hopefully a few moments where you forget just how hard you’re working!
