Our new TORRENT+ STRENGTH class gives you 50-minutes dedicated to finding your power. Strength training is an important part of our overall health - especially as we get older. This new class format utilizes dumbbells and bands to give you a 25-minute workout that prioritizes your strength. The focus of each class changes each day (and is listed on our schedule page) so you can plan ahead and make this class a part of your routine. You’ll also get 25-minutes of cycling to increase your heart rate and make you sweat. Our premium sound system ensures that our playlists will give you the inspiration you need to find your best. You can choose to start on the floor (strength) or start on the bike (cardio). Or skip the bike all together and sign up for a Double Floor (DF) spot and get a 50-minute strength workout.

New to strength training? We’ve got you - our expert instructors will guide you through the movements to maximize your safety (and results). New to cycling? This is a great introduction to indoor cycling (we recommend all first time guests to start on a bike).

TORRENT+ STRENGTH CLASS TYPES

UPPER BODY

25-minutes dedicated to your upper body. Expect to focus on arms (biceps + triceps), shoulders, chest and back with some abs incorporated, as well.

All levels of experience welcome.

LOWER BODY

Our legs contain our strongest muscles and this workout will put them to the test. Glutes, quads, and hamstrings will be our focus with abs incorporated during this 25-minute workout.

All levels of experience welcome.

FULL BODY

25-minutes to get in a total body burn! We’ll get in a little of everything in this highly efficient workout (including abs!). If you’re tight on time or new to strength training, this is for you!

All levels of experience welcome.


Upper and Lower Body workouts will switch which day they are on every week. In week one, Upper Body will fall on Mondays and Thursdays with Lower Body on Tuesdays and Fridays. In week two, Upper Body will fall on Tuesdays and Fridays and Lower Body on Mondays and Thursdays.

Full Body workouts will always fall on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Purchase our 4-class pass for $89/month and find the joy in disrupting your routine.

BUILD YOUR STRENGTH

Are you already riding once a week in our cycling classes? Add in one TORRENT+ STRENGTH class per week to your existing cycling schedule to build your strength.

Level up to our 8-class pass for $159/month and take two classes per week.

IGNITE YOUR SPIRIT

You’re already riding at TORRENT twice a week - it’s time to go all in. For $199/month, our Unlimited Membership gives you access to all our classes (including all our TORRENT+ STRENGTH classes).

The Unlimited Membership is our best deal if you’re taking 3 or more classes each week.

CAN I ASK YOU A QUESTION..?

  • Yes, our classes are designed for all level of experience and our instructors will guide you throughout class to ensure your safety. Doors to the studio open 10 minutes before the start of each class for you to get familiar with our equipment and talk with your instructors before class begins. We recommend all first time guest to arrive 15 minutes before class starts.

  • No, TORRENT+ STRENGTH is currently only available at our Downtown Salt Lake City studio.

  • TORRENT+ STRENGTH is a 50-minute class

  • You can choose to start on the floor, on the bike, or skip the bike and choose a Double Floor (DF) spot. If you’re new to Torrent Cycle, we recommend starting class on the bike.

  • Yes, choose a Double Floor (DF) spot in class and you’ll stay on the floor for all of class doing the strength workout twice.

  • No, all of our existing class packs and passes will work for TORRENT+ classes.

  • Yes, you will still find cycling-only classes (TORRENT45) on the Downtown schedule, but these classes will have reduced capacity.

  • There will be 9 bike spots and 9 floor spots + 5 Double Floor (DF) spots. That’s a total of 23 spots in each class.

  • Yes, you will need to bring your own sneakers for the strength portion of class. You are welcome to bring your own cycling shoes (our pedals are compatible with LOOK Delta cleats and SPD cleats). As always, we also have cycling shoes available to rent for free.

  • Yes, there is a short transition period at the halfway point of class where we will switch floor and bike spots. During this time, you’ll change your shoes for the next portion of class.

  • Yes, the Strength workouts will change daily.

  • We have dumbbells ranging from 5lbs to 50lbs available.
